Well... I HAD an idea, and half way into it, I forgot and just fooled around with SAI. By the time I snapped out of it, there were very little layers (and I love making layers) and certain parts of Lena were mixed up. (Example: face was in a coloring layer)
The shadowed figure is Shrimp.. I dunno why he's shadowed... He looks either dead, or evil...

it seems like every picture of yours has something influenced by kate in it. she is pretty inspiring, i suppose.:)
ReplyDeleteBut why do you have to have like.. it exactly like kates? Cuz you have 4 letters, and they're bunched up together... kind of like KATE. The only difference is that you don't have the /10 and a heart... maybe next time..:)

ReplyDeleteThat doesn't really make much sense. I can see how she would be an inspiration however I don't see why you would need inspiration to make a siggy.. Especially with it looking exactly like hers. You could make one that is yours, and maybe use 4 letters too but why the bunch up? I don't really understand..
maybe the best thing to do would be to stop looking at kate's art for awhile and start focusing on building on your own style. i think you are very talented but i think that your art always seems to mirror katie's.

@Drey-It's bunched up like that so no one can read it. It's like those code bars on selling items. Thats what I was going for. I did come up with my sig just a while ago. I'll replace it in a minute with it. (It looks like a face)
ReplyDelete@Krista- Katie's art isn't the only gallery I look through. Theres TONS. Like the one I drew on Sunday, it was a real life reference I did on google. Maybe this drawing came out looking like Katie's style, But it's because I used a reference for Lena's outfit.
And what parts is it mirrored to Katie's? The noses? The blush? Coloring?
Sorry about my rant... But I sort of felt like I was being hated on all because of one stupid signature! xD
i don't think i worded myself that well. i do think you have a style all your own, but it seems like a lot of the time you do things really similar to katie. i don't mean to upset you.
